Brittany McDowell serves as a Unique Assets Administrative Assistant and Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer at Altruist Trust Co. & Fiduciary Services, Inc.™ Ms. McDowell is responsible for overseeing unique assets—such as real estate, privately held companies, art, collectibles, and other specialized holdings—ensuring proper valuation, insurance coverage, regulatory compliance, and safe storage. As Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer, she contributes to key aspects of investment management by assisting with portfolio research, trade execution, reporting, and analytical projects, all with precise attention to detail and a focus on protecting trust assets.
With a background in emergency care, patient support, and health program implementation, Ms. McDowell previously served as a District Health Aide, where she assisted nurses with documentation, organization, inventory, and data entry. She also worked in emergency department registration at a major medical center, gaining firsthand experience in patient triage and hospital operations. Drawing on her experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Brittany brings strong organizational skills and swift decision-making to her work, as well as a steadfast commitment to doing what is right.
Ms. McDowell’s background as a women’s High School basketball coach has reinforced qualities like leadership, team-building, and clear communication—attributes she channels into her daily responsibilities at Altruist™ to foster collaboration and uphold the highest standards of fiduciary excellence.
Outside of work, Ms. McDowell is passionate about leadership and service, having served as a missions representative, youth mentor, and basketball team captain. Committed to continuous learning and community impact, she strives to make a difference in both healthcare and outreach initiatives.
